Last night proved that football is a game of chances and if you don’t take yours, you’ll get punished.
On Saturday the Badgers started the 2020/21 season with a trip to Moorends to face Thorne Colliery. Definitely not a game that we would choose to be the first game of the season. It proved to be the hard test we had imagined.

With the confirmation that the league is now over, as a group we are gutted. As it was set up to be an interesting end to the season. That said, there are more important things in life and the health and safety of people especially friends and family are priority.
On Saturday the Badgers faced AFC Bentley at Cannon Park. Another windy affair for both sides. There was only one change to the Retford line-up with number one keeper Tom Crosby returning from injury.
This Saturday the Badgers face Appleby Frodingham at Cannon Park. Appleby are second to bottom in the Central Midlands League and have struggled to pick up points all season.

Tomorrow the Badgers face AFC Bentley at Cannon Park. Along with Askern, we haven’t played them at home or away this season due to postponements. Despite Bentley being eleventh in the table they’re a good team with an array of talented players.
