This Saturday the Badgers face Appleby Frodingham at Cannon Park. Appleby are second to bottom in the Central Midlands League and have struggled to pick up points all season.

Tomorrow the Badgers face AFC Bentley at Cannon Park. Along with Askern, we haven’t played them at home or away this season due to postponements. Despite Bentley being eleventh in the table they’re a good team with an array of talented players.
The Badgers were hoping to bounce back from cup defeat against Sherwood Colliery last week. With a win against Staveley they would progress through to the Semi-finals and face Collingham.
Tomorrow night the Badgers face Staveley Miners Welfare Reserves in the Quarter Final of the Floodlit Cup. It’s a crucial game for Retford after crashing out of the Buckingham Insurance Cup last week, when Sherwood Colliery was the first team to beat the Badgers since November
For the third time lucky, this fixture finally went ahead. The weather conditions had caused the last two fixtures were postponed. Both teams very much up for this game with a place in the semi-finals of the league cup awaiting the winner
Tomorrow night the Badgers will hopefully travel to Debdale Park to face Sherwood Colliery Reserves in the Buckingham Insurance Challenge Cup Quarter Finals. I say hopefully because the game may not go ahead due to the extreme weather conditions that have occurred all over England these last few days. The weather has also continued to not improve leaving a doubt on the game. All will be decided by a pitch inspection tomorrow, so make sure to keep a look out on Twitter and Facebook for updates on whether the game will go ahead.
On Saturday the Badgers faced Crowle Colts, a team that had picked up form since the New Year winning the majority of their games and climbing up the table to seventh. United also in very good form, coming into the game 10 games unbeaten. The Badgers fans travelled to Windsor Park for the first time and in numbers. They hoped to see their team extend the unbeaten streak to 11 and secure a crucial three points on the road.
This Saturday the Badgers travel to Scunthorpe to face worthy opponents Crowle Colts. This will be our first time facing Crowle. The Colts have a history of winning trophies and also many name changes.
