Earlier in the day the FA news broke that all non-elite football would be halted during the second lockdown, meaning that this game would be our last for at least a month. Knowing this the Badgers wanted to go out on a high with a win against the formidable Newark Town.
On Friday we travelled to Station Road, a ground that we have always struggled to pick up points from, we certainly haven’t got all three away at Collingham in the last few years. We have either been beaten or held to a draw. Hopefully we could beat the curse this time out.
On Saturday the Badgers travelled into the Derbyshire dales to face the Division One Central league leaders in the Challenge Cup. It was never going to be an easy game, especially in the wet and windy conditions.
We’re extremely excited to announce that in Spring 2021 we will be installing our state of the art all weather 4G pitch. We have always tried looking at how we can make the facilities better and this is a huge step in the right direction
On Saturday the Badgers faced a much improved Staveley side, the game wasn’t going to be easy with three key players missing, Mark West, Brandon Kane and Danny Abdulla were all absent. However Danny Swales and fan favourite, Jack Walters made a return to the squad.
We are pleased to announce our New 2020/21 Away Kit.
The Central Midlands Football League put us in to play Thorne for the second time this season after our cup game was played midweek. We previously played Thorne in the first game of the season and took home the three points after two very late goals.
Last night the Badgers faced Teversal Reserves at Tomlin Park. After not playing for two weeks it would be a good game for us to regroup and get a boost with a good performance
As you all know COVID-19 has played a big part in our lives over the past 7 months and we all wondered if any football would take place at all this season. Now football is back up and running and we’re all allowed supporters, it’s paramount that the safety of supporters home and away is priority!
