Everything you need to know about the new post season tournament.
Twenty five teams have entered the tournament. The teams are split into seven groups, four groups of four and three groups of three. Teams play each other home and away within the group (groups of four play six matches, groups of three play four matches). The seven group winners and runners-up qualify for the knockout stage, along with the two third-placed teams in the groups of four with the best record. In the “Round of 16”, the seven group winners plus the 2nd placed team with the best record will be the home sides. The Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals will be an open draw. The nine teams who do not qualify for the round of 16 enter a “Plate” tournament; there is one play-off, followed by Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final.
We’re in Group 3 alongside Newark Town, SJR Worksop & Collingham FC. The games start after the 12th April meaning that the current guidelines will allow socially distanced spectators. But if anything changes you will be updated on social media.
